SMS and Text Messaging — Mobile Information Handling

This section explains how Perry Plumbing and Pipelining collects, uses, shares, and protects mobile phone numbers and text messaging consent. It applies in addition to the rest of this Privacy Policy, and it controls if there is any conflict.

No Sharing or Sale of Mobile Information

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for
marketing or promotional purposes. All the above categories exclude text
messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be
shared with any third parties.

Perry Plumbing and Pipelining does not sell, rent, lease, share, or trade Your mobile phone number, SMS opt-in status, or consent records with any third party for marketing purposes, and We do not disclose that information to data brokers, lead generators, or lead aggregators under any circumstances.

The only parties who receive Your Mobile Information are subcontractors and Service Providers who directly support the operation of our text messaging program — for example, our SMS platform provider, our dispatch and scheduling software, and our customer support tools. These parties act solely on Our behalf, may use Your Mobile Information only to deliver the services We have engaged them to provide, and are contractually prohibited from using it for
their own marketing or from disclosing it to anyone else.

We may disclose Mobile Information only where required by law, valid legal process, or a request from a public authority.

How You Opt In to Text Messages

We only send text messages to customers and prospective customers who have given us express consent. You may opt in by:

  • Checking the SMS consent box on a form on our Website;
  • Providing Your mobile number and agreeing to receive texts when You call or speak with our office or a technician;
  • Signing a service agreement, estimate, or intake form that includes a text messaging consent disclosure; or
  • Texting us first from Your mobile device.

Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service from us. You may request plumbing service by phone or email without opting in to SMS.

  • Transactional and service messages: appointment confirmations and reminders, technician dispatch and arrival notifications, estimates and quotes, job status updates, invoices and payment reminders, and replies to questions You send us.

Message Frequency

Message frequency varies. Transactional messages are sent as needed based on Your service request or scheduled appointment. If You have opted in to promotional messages, You will generally receive no more than a few messages per month.

How to Opt Out

You may cancel text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message You receive from us. After You send STOP, we will send one final message confirming that You have been unsubscribed, and You will not receive further texts from us unless You opt in again. You may also opt out by calling us at (619) 472-2112 or emailing info@perryplumbingco.com. Opting out of texts does not remove You from phone or email communication about active service requests.

Carriers and Delivery

Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery is subject to effective transmission by Your wireless service provider and is not guaranteed.

Age Requirement

You must be at least 18 years old, and the authorized subscriber or user of the mobile number provided, to consent to receive text messages from us.

Retention and Security of Mobile Information

We retain SMS opt-in records, opt-out requests, and message logs for as long as needed to operate our messaging program and to document consent as required by applicable law and industry rules, and We delete or de-identify them when they are no longer needed for those purposes. Mobile Information is stored using the same safeguards described in the Security of Your Personal Data section below.

Use of Your Personal Data

The Company may use Personal Data for the following purposes:

  • To provide and maintain our Service, including to monitor the usage of our Service.
  • To manage Your Account: to manage Your registration as a user of the Service. The Personal Data You provide can give You access to different functionalities of the Service that are available to You as a registered user.
