Perris is two plumbing markets in one city. On one side, decades-old homes on large lots around downtown and the older Perris Valley neighborhoods, many with long sewer laterals running the length of a deep parcel. On the other, an enormous and still-growing base of distribution centers, warehouses, and commercial buildings along the I-215 corridor with drain systems that absolutely cannot go offline during business hours.
Pipelining serves both. Perry Plumbing and Pipelining rebuilds failed sewer, drain, and waste lines from the inside using structural epoxy liners. No excavation, no torn-up parking lot, no closed warehouse. Family owned since 1977. Call (619) 472-2112 or schedule an inspection.
What Pipelining Is, and Why It Beats Digging
Trenchless pipelining, known technically as cured-in-place pipe (CIPP), repairs a damaged line without removing it. We access the pipe through an existing cleanout, pull an epoxy-saturated liner through the failed section, inflate it against the pipe wall, and cure it into a hard, seamless, corrosion-resistant new pipe formed inside the old one.
No trench. No jackhammer. No week of downtime. And because the liner is jointless, there is nothing for roots to penetrate and nothing for groundwater to seep through. Rated service life is 50 years or more. See our trenchless pipelining services page for the full technical rundown.
Why Perris Sewer Lines Fail
- Long laterals on deep lots. Older Perris properties and converted ranch parcels often have 100 to 200+ feet of lateral between the house and the main. Every additional foot is more joints, more soil movement exposure, and, if you dig, dramatically more excavation cost.
- Septic-to-sewer conversion lines. As Perris extended sewer service into formerly septic areas, many properties got a new connection tied into aging on-site drain lines. The weak link is usually the older interior or yard piping, not the new connection.
- Expansive and alkaline valley soils. Perris Valley soils shift seasonally and are hard on cast iron and clay. Offsets at joints are extremely common here.
- Heavy commercial and industrial loading. Warehouse and distribution facilities put constant truck traffic over buried lines. Repeated surface loading crushes and deforms pipe that was never rated for it.
- Grease and solids in commercial kitchens along the D Street, Perris Boulevard, and Ramona Expressway corridors, which build scale until the line loses most of its diameter.
Signs You Need a Camera Inspection
- Repeat main line stoppages on the same property, cleared and returning
- Slow drains across multiple fixtures or multiple units
- Sewage odor near a cleanout, floor drain, or loading dock
- Wet, sunken, or unusually green ground along the sewer path
- Backups in a commercial restroom block during peak hours
- Standing water in a floor drain that won’t clear
- A property inspection report flagging offsets, bellies, or root intrusion
Start with a sewer camera inspection. For lines above 6 inches, common in Perris commercial and industrial buildings, see our large diameter sewer inspection service.
Our Process
1. Inspect and Diagnose
Camera the line end to end, locate every defect, and measure depth and distance so there’s no guesswork about what needs to be repaired.
2. Clean and Restore Diameter
Hydro jetting and mechanical cutting remove roots, grease, and scale. On commercial lines with years of buildup, this step alone often restores flow dramatically.
3. Line the Pipe
The epoxy liner is installed, inflated, and cured into a structural pipe within the existing pipe.
4. Verify and Report
Post-install camera footage documents the completed repair, which property managers and facility teams need for their maintenance records.

Frequently Asked Questions About Pipelining in Perris
Can you line a long lateral of 150 feet or more?
Yes. Long runs are actually where pipelining delivers the biggest savings in Perris, because traditional replacement cost scales directly with trench length. Lining a 180-foot lateral doesn’t require 180 feet of open trench, spoil haul-off, backfill, compaction, and surface restoration. On deep-lot Perris properties, that difference is substantial.
Do you line commercial and warehouse lines, not just residential?
We do. We line building drains, laterals, and larger-diameter waste lines for warehouses, distribution centers, restaurants, retail, and multifamily properties. For anything above 6 inches, our large diameter sewer inspection equipment handles the assessment.
Will my business have to close during the work?
Almost never for a full day. Drains in the affected section are out of service during the cure, typically a few hours, and we routinely schedule work overnight or on weekends to keep it out of your operating hours. Tell us your constraints when you call and we’ll build the schedule around them.
My property just converted from septic to sewer. Are my old lines still a risk?
Often, yes. The new connection to the main is fine; the decades-old building drain and yard piping feeding into it usually isn’t. That aging pipe is exactly what fails 18 months after a conversion. A camera inspection of the existing lines is cheap insurance.
Can pipelining handle a pipe that’s been crushed by truck traffic?
It depends on the degree of deformation. A pipe that’s been ovalized or partially crushed may be restorable with cutting and re-rounding before lining. A fully collapsed section can’t be lined and needs a spot repair or replacement of that segment, which can often be done in isolation while lining the rest. The camera tells us which situation applies.
Does lining reduce the pipe’s capacity?
The liner adds a small amount of wall thickness, but the finished surface is smooth and seamless, much smoother than corroded cast iron or scale-coated clay. In practice, flow after lining is usually better than what you had, not worse.
How long does the whole job take?
A typical Perris residential lateral is inspected, cleaned, lined, and verified in one day. Larger commercial systems may run two to three days depending on footage and access, and we’ll give you a defined schedule before starting.
Do you offer emergency service in Perris?
Yes, 24 hours a day. If you’ve got an active backup at a home or a facility, call (619) 472-2112. We’ll get flow restored first, then diagnose the permanent fix.
